Position Details:
This position will oversee the Global Commercial Sales and Marketing Activities for the Battery and Energy Products group, focusing on Medical, Safety/Security, Industrial and G&D segments, New Product / Market Penetration, Acquisition Targets, and Development of OEM / Distribution Partnerships. Must prepare and execute go to market plans in support of commercial growth initiatives.

Travel is required approximately 50% of the time.

Position Details:
This position will oversee the Global Commercial Sales and Marketing Activities for the Battery and Energy Products group, focusing on Medical, Safety/Security, Industrial and G&D segments, New Product / Market Penetration, Acquisition Targets, and Development of OEM / Distribution Partnerships. Must prepare and execute go to market plans in support of commercial growth initiatives.
- Strengthen and expand the sales effort to generate significant revenue growth in existing market segments and new market segments. Motivate, counsel, and manage the sales teams in a pro-active, customer-focused manner for the year-over-year execution & delivery of the annual business plan (focus on growth)
- Define sales process and appropriate metrics for all aspects of sales (i.e. recruiting, pipeline development, forecasting, etc.).
- Refine and implement new strategies for increased market penetration both through the acquisition of new clients as well as targeting cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
- Identify key market growth areas and opportunities for Strategic Capex and/or new product development investments
- Foster acquisition / merger opportunities for investment, growth, and diversification of the B&E business, ideally moving up the value stream.
- Manage the Digital Marketing Activities and Campaigns to maximize Ultralife's online presence, Expert in the Industry Status, and assist with lead generation.
- Review the buying experience and implement improvements to increase overall customer satisfaction, interaction and return business.
- Develop/enhance the annual strategic and operational sales business plans in collaboration with your own team, as well as the other key functional departments in the company.
- Travel up to 50% of the time required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Possess significant success in the sales function transactions; marketing experience, product management experience and related skills would be a plus.
- Must have broad experience base and a record of success in multiple business segments, markets and distribution channels, battery industry a plus.
- Client-focused management perspective through hands-on experience in a career spanning at least 20+ years both as an individual contributor and a leader is preferred.
- Excellent managerial, organizational and planning skills in project planning, sales process and sales execution, as well as crisp communication skills (written & verbal) are additional requirements.
- Ability to concisely summarize strategy and action plan for key transactions; new product introductions game plans and communicate to senior executives on a periodic basis.
- Integrity, knowledge, reputation and record of demonstrated success and execution.
- Experienced in the Marketing function with its related skills.
- Demonstrated business planning, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Innovative and creative problem solver.
- International Travel Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent. MBA preferred.
