We are on the hunt for a talented estate planning attorney with a minimum of five years of experience. The right applicant will possess strong experience in preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, and other related documents. A fantastic candidate will also have knowledge in one or more of our other areas of practice: probate, guardianship, Medicaid planning, and special needs planning. Compensation: $125,000 yearly plus variable compensation
Responsibilities
Prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives for healthcare
Conduct effective initial consultations
Interface with clients providing excellent customer service
Identify legal issues related to Medicaid and Special Needs Planning (training will be provided)
Collaborate with client financial and other advisors to create a comprehensive plan
Participate in community research and educational programs to promote estate planning awareness
Research and analyze the law on complex issues
Develop in other areas of elder and special needs law
Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Licensed with the State Bar of Georgia
Minimum of five years of estate planning experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and technical aptitude for learning other software programs such as practice management software
Knowledge of document drafting software (Experience with WealthCounsel and ElderCounsel is a plus)
Excellent drafting and legal research skills
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Ability to show empathy to clients and put them at ease
Attention to detail
Willingness to become proficient in the firm's other areas of practice
