as CPA Ontario's Manager of Data Solutions & Enablement
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Manager, Data Solutions & Enablement to work closely with business leaders to align data strategies with CPA Ontario's goals. The role focuses on ensuring secure and seamless data accessibility, building actionable data models and datasets, and providing tools and training to empower teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Driving data-driven decision-making by designing and implementing a self-service data platform, enabling business users to independently access, analyze, and report on data. Providing expert consulting services to create tailored data solutions for business units and ensure data security through robust access controls and confidentiality practices.
Developing ETL processes using Azure tools like Data Factory, Data Lake, and Data Bricks to create datasets, and design data models in Power BI to support analysis and reporting. Implementing best practices to ensure data integrity, conduct thorough testing, validate results, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Creating operational and analytical data solutions to meet daily and ad hoc business needs, ensuring high standards of data integrity and analytical rigor. Implementing best practices in reporting and analysis, including effective testing, result validation, and comprehensive documentation.
Engaging with business units to understand their data solutions requirements and the functionality of source systems, identifying how data can be effectively utilized. Developing comprehensive requirements documentation to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational processes.
Who You Are:
A post-secondary graduate in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, with over 7 years of experience in advanced SQL programming, data warehousing, and data modeling.
A subject matter expert with at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Azure Data Platform tools, including Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks.
Highly proficient in front-end reporting and dashboarding tools, especially Power BI, with extensive experience in training business units on data solutions and best practices.
An exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Microsoft certified in Azure Fundamentals and Azure Data Engineer Associate, with a proven ability to manage complex data projects and deliver high-quality results is preferred.
