The Rheumatology division of Hennepin Healthcare (HHS) is currently seeking an Adult Rheumatologist to join our team. In addition to providing quality and comprehensive care, you will also be attending on the Consult Service; participating in the Division's night and weekend call; and educating our fellows, residents, and students. Research is strongly encouraged within the division as is involvement of house staff in research projects, although there are no specific expectations at present. All Rheumatology faculty members at Hennepin Healthcare also have academic rank at the University of Minnesota. This job must demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current (or eligible for) license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota
  • Board certified/board eligible in an ABMS recognized specialty
  • Successful completion of Rheumatology fellowship
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound training, experience, and certification preferred
Knowledge/skills/abilities
  • Knowledge of techniques and practices applicable to field of training
  • Up-to-date on current literature and developments associated with field of training
  • Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and tools applicable to position
  • Ability to conduct medical examinations and procedures in routine and emergent situations
  • Ability to diagnose medical conditions and interpret finding to lay persons and professionals
  • Ability to direct personnel in the delivery of medical care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
