Description:

ECS is seeking a Radar Electrical Engineer to work in our Chantilly, VA office.
  • Design analog and digital circuits.
  • Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies and components.
  • Participate in small multi-discipline teams to integrate and perform qualification tests on products.
  • Provide engineering support and hands-on troubleshooting for fielded products.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing systems to meet changing user requirements.
  • Produce test and qualification procedures and technical documentation including operations manuals, user guides, etc.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance existing systems and new development projects.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel, up to 20%, several times a year to support installations and testing.


  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or 2 years of equivalent electrical engineering experience.
  • RTL design utilizing hardware description languages such as VHDL (preferred), Verilog, and/or System Verilog
    VHDL programming, simulation, synthesis, and compiling tools (Altera/Intel and Xilinx).
  • Understanding of working in a laboratory environment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Use of Test Equipment such as: Modulation Analyzers, Audio Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Waveform/Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Frequency Counters and Logic Analyzers.
  • Performing analyses to derive system, subsystem and component-level specifications from customer requirements.
  • Developing electronic test and verification procedures and analyzing test results against customer-requirements.
  • Participation in design reviews with both internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government DoD Security Clearance.
