Description:
ECS is seeking a Radar Electrical Engineer to work in our Chantilly, VA office.
- Design analog and digital circuits.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies and components.
- Participate in small multi-discipline teams to integrate and perform qualification tests on products.
- Provide engineering support and hands-on troubleshooting for fielded products.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing systems to meet changing user requirements.
- Produce test and qualification procedures and technical documentation including operations manuals, user guides, etc.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance existing systems and new development projects.
- Occasional domestic and international travel, up to 20%, several times a year to support installations and testing.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or 2 years of equivalent electrical engineering experience.
- RTL design utilizing hardware description languages such as VHDL (preferred), Verilog, and/or System Verilog
VHDL programming, simulation, synthesis, and compiling tools (Altera/Intel and Xilinx). - Understanding of working in a laboratory environment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Use of Test Equipment such as: Modulation Analyzers, Audio Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meters, Waveform/Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Frequency Counters and Logic Analyzers.
- Performing analyses to derive system, subsystem and component-level specifications from customer requirements.
- Developing electronic test and verification procedures and analyzing test results against customer-requirements.
- Participation in design reviews with both internal and external project stakeholders.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government DoD Security Clearance.
