Job Title: Regional Director, Workplace Campaigns

Reports To: National Director, Workplace Campaign

JOB DESCRIPTION
Manages the organization's workplace based fund-raising program within the defined geographic region by increasing unrestricted revenue through effective partnerships and presence to private and public sector employee workplace campaigns.

UNCF's mission is to build a robust and nationally recognized pipeline of black students who, because of UNCF support, become highly qualified college graduates. In addition, UNCF ensures that its member institutions remain respected models of best practices in moving students to and through college. Since its inception in 1944, UNCF has raised over $4.5 billion in private support, distributed more scholarships to help minorities attend school than any entity outside of the federal government, and enabled more than 500,000 minority and low-income students to graduate from UNCF's member historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and launch professional careers. UNCF is committed to closing the educational attainment gap between African Americans and other populations by increasing postsecondary access and success for students from underrepresented groups, particularly low-income and first-generation students.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Collaborate with local Area Development Directors and the National Director of Workplace Initiatives to develop an annual work plan to increase Corporate and Employee Giving partnerships and public sector workplace campaigns throughout the region.
Prepare and submit documentation required for participation in annual state and local organizations and public sector campaigns.
Develop and maintain an accurate database of giving organizations, public sector affiliations, contracts/agreements, requirements and revenue history.
Consult area offices regarding workplace-based philanthropy; develop area office communication and workplace campaign support material, including a media plan to maximize the organization's visibility and competitiveness for workplace donor support.
Direct the organization's regional Combined Federated Campaign; monitor campaign activity, including the preparation of monthly and quarterly workplace progress and reports on funds raised.
Evaluate Combined Federal Campaign results and provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of private/public sector solicitation.
Represent the organization's Workplace office at meetings with regional corporate prospects and non-profit organizations.
Organize volunteer support to assist in conducting workplace outreach and campaign meetings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; a minimum of five to seven years of fundraising experience in employee giving and management required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge of workplace giving in public and private sector and federated campaigns.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver training presentations.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous activities and/or priorities.
Ability to assess end-to-end impacts of initiatives on employees and constituents.
