Job Overview

The Registered Dietitian assesses the nutritional status and dietary needs of AltaMed patients to ensure adequate dietary intake, nutritional status, and chronic condition control. The Dietitian provides necessary consultation and intervention to participants, families, and the Interdisciplinary Care team as well as participates in the development of the plan of care, and implements and evaluates care according to patient-specific medical conditions, history, and/or nutritional needs. Other responsibilities may include performing professional work in the application of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to meet patient needs and in compliance of various health plans and county regulations. The Dietitian serves as an internal resource for nutrition, creates and conducts staff training/materials on nutrition, and provides services within a dietitian's scope of practice.

Minimum Requirements

1. Registered Dietitian (RD, RDN) as recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.

2. Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian preferred.

3. Minimum of 1 year diabetes experience required.

4. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with prenatal patients, including gestational diabetes preferred.

5. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or eligible preferred.

6. Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

7. Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Compensation

$74,984.00 - $93,730.00 annually
