POSITION SUMMARY
The senior accountant position is responsible for managing the financial health of projects and ensuring accuracy in accounting operations. This role combines financial expertise with project management skills to oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting duties.
- Assist in or facilitate the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of the organization.
- Improve internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and accounting standards.
- Prepare financial documents.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Month End Close, Billing, and Account Reconciliations.
- Lead and manage project planning, execution, and delivery for financial projects.
- Develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or project management role.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel.
- QuickBooks experience preferred.
