Role Summary

The Data Scientist is responsible for analyzing large volumes of data to extract actionable insights that drive Steel Point's strategic objectives and enhance business capabilities. This role involves developing data models, performing statistical analyses, and creating data visualizations to inform decision-making. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop data-driven solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of data analytics projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Modeling
    • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms.
    • Conduct exploratory data analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Statistical Analysis
    • Perform statistical analyses to support business objectives.
    • Ensure the accuracy and validity of data analyses and models.
  • Data Visualization
    • Create and present data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
    • Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaboration
    • Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives.
    • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to develop data solutions.
  • Data Management
    • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all data activities.
    • Manage and preprocess data for analysis and modeling.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and analytics.
    • Implement best practices and innovative techniques in data analysis.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ of experience in data science or a related field
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Data science-related certifications (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, Microsoft Certified: Data Scientist Associate) are preferred
