PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages critical systems for a large-scale tactical Navy network
- Engineers and maintains the security posture coinciding with ESS practices
- Provides distance support troubleshooting for hardware related issues and re-configuring workstations
- Performs routine patching/testing/deploying Windows/Linux/3rd Party/HBSS/ESS as well as new Group Policy updates with newly introduced patching solution to ensure a more readily available baseline of security
- Eliminates ACAS findings and maintains a superior security posture
- Works required STIGS/POA M functions across multiple environments for local and distance support
- Provides additional lab support on ACAS/HBSS/ESS and trouble tickets as requested across two labs and sustainment support across multiple NOCs
- Performs monthly inventory
- Performs routine administrative tasks
- Maintains all DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management qualifying criteria certifications, including an active clearance and all annual required training
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience with the installation, administration, upgrade, patching, sustainment, and other management of:
- HBSS/ESS
- Operating System: Windows Linux
- VMware
- 3rd Party Software
- AD Domain components (DNS, Sites and Service, Group policy, DHCP)
- Possess strong troubleshooting skills
- CompTIA Security + (or higher) certification
- TS/SCI cleared
DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- Advanced certifications, such as:
- VMware: VCP, VCAP, or similar
- Microsoft: MCSE, MCITP, or similar
- Cisco: CCNA, CCNP, or similar
- Linux: RHCE, RHCSA, or similar
- Experience with any of the following technology is a plus:
- Virtual Cloud Foundation (VCF)
- RHEL
- Scripting (PowerShell, any others)
- Citrix 7.15
- ForcePoint / Everfox TTC
- Veeam
- Exchange
- Rubrik
- NSX-T
- VCF
- Containerization
- OpenShift, Kubernetes
- Agile principles, SAFe
- CI/CD processes
