Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Senior Ancillary Benefits Analyst, you willcoordinate with Manager of Ancillary Benefits to elevate Workforce Development Programs, including education assistance (for tuition and student loan) and childcare center programs, and review industry-leading solutions that enable employee growth opportunities, enhance patient experience and support HR talent acquisition's strategic growth and retention goals. You will project manage vendor and coordinate changes to programs, conduct program assessments, assist with developing cost projections, business proposals, operating requirements and reporting. You will manage vendor responsible for HCA Healthcare's childcare centers, and drive to identify areas of opportunity for expansion initiatives in that space.

Your Job Responsibilities will include:

Education Assistance Programs:

  • Assist in evaluating education product offerings and vendors that differentiate HCA Healthcare in the market and align with HCA Healthcare's longer-term goals, and partner with Manager of Ancillary Benefits and/or the Workforce Development COE on strategy, design and implementation of new program offerings.
  • Maintain project logs, reporting delivery, policy and process improvements.
  • Oversee and maintain HR Policies and provide consulting on policy compliance, harmonization strategies and implementation for Education Assistance programs.
  • Develop, maintain and administer project plans; facilitate training webinars with the vendor and field HR as needed, and ensure all deliverables are completed and on schedule.
  • Work closely with Communications team to effectively communicate offerings and any changes.
  • Facilitate pilot programs, implement, monitor and measure results for consideration of enterprise wide launch.
  • Closely coordinate all activities with Galen College of Nursing, Tax Department and Payroll in order to ensure compliance with tax law while minimizing colleague impact of program offerings.
  • Serve as Benefits COE liaison with Clinical Education Department, Workforce Development COE, HRG Leadership and other interested stakeholders.
  • Assist with collection of data to track Return on Investment metrics and identify and meet Key Performance Indicators of Education Assistance programs.
  • Produce and deliver presentations to Benefits COE leadership and other key stakeholders, both on a recurring and ad hoc basis.
  • Manage vendor(s) relationship for HCA Healthcare's Education Assistance Programs (Tuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Assistance).

Childcare Centers:

  • Document and promote company best practices for childcare center contracting and administration to Division leaders.
  • Support Division leadership with budget and contract process for childcare centers, and serve as liaison between Benefits COE and Division leaders.
  • Develop and maintain project logs related to all childcare centers, and track vendor to goals and target completion dates
  • Receive, validate, and process monthly invoices.
  • Manage vendor(s) relationship for HCA Healthcare's childcare center offerings
  • Identify opportunities for potential program growth into additional HCA Healthcare markets, and partner with vendor and Division leadership to determine interest in expansion.'
  • Review viability of new program offerings, including back up care options, home-based care, and other non-center dependent care support.
  • Create and deliver regular cadence of reporting to leadership on status for all childcare centers.

General Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management and vendor management, deliver operating requirements
  • Resolve participant and data issues and escalations of varying magnitude
  • Participate in meetings with Corporate staff, field HR personnel, hospital/division leadership and outside vendors as needed
  • Assist with generating facility / market / division reports & analyses upon request
  • Assist with the RFP selection of vendors Manage enterprise child care arrangements and coordinate with hospital/division leadership on local child care program initiatives
  • Appeals review and determination

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in vendor management preferred
  • Financial background should contain knowledge of education financials, trend drivers, ability to create programs related to education funding
  • Ability to track closely to program budgets
  • Strong driver of change
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a wide variety of employees and leadership teams
  • Ability to analyze and work independently to resolve issues
  • Ability to effectively utilize Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Effective project management skills


What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelors Degree is required
  • 5+ years of experience in academia, education, human resources, employee benefits, or related education or healthcare field is required
