Tax Manager / Senior Manager (CPA) Job Description

A small firm in UT is looking for an experienced and skilled 10+ years Tax Manager to join their team. They be responsible for providing tax consulting and strategic planning services to their high-net-worth, and small to mid-size businesses clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to provide clients with sound financial advice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tax consulting and planning services to clients
• Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses ( S-Corps, C-Corps, non profit, and gift tax returns)
• Represent clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities
• Advise clients on tax-related issues such as investments, retirement planning, and estate planning
• Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations
• Manage a team of tax professionals
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvements

Qualifications:

• 10 -15 years experience (15 years preferred)
• CPA license
• 5+ years of experience in tax consulting and planning
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven track record of client management and strategic planning.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
• GAAP experience preferred.
