The Regulations and Compliance Analyst (RCA) is a key member of the risk and compliance team and will assist in administering the Compliance Program at Stanford Federal Credit Union.

The Regulations and Compliance Analyst (RCA) is a key member of the risk and compliance team and will assist in administering the Compliance Program at Stanford Federal Credit Union.

Who YOU are:
- Associate's degree; or at least two years of equivalent experience for each year of school not completed is required.
- Minimum 2-4 years of specialized experience in either Risk or Compliance area within a financial institution
- Training, certification, or other accreditation in the areas of regulatory compliance e.g. Certified Credit Union Compliance Specialist (CUCS), Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Credit Union Enterprise Risk Manager (CUERM), Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO), Certified Compliance Manager (CCM), Regulatory Compliance Specialist (RCS), etc.
- In-depth knowledge of credit union operations
- In-depth analytical and judgment skills are required to perform intensive fact-finding, investigating, and solving major complex issues or problems.
- Ability to organize and to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to maintain information confidential in appearance and in fact.
What YOU'LL do:
- Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Conduct regular assessments of the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment:
- Analyze credit union processes and operations to identify potential risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk mitigation strategies (controls) and propose improvements.
- Assist in developing risk mitigation plans and strategies.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision making.
- Regulatory Research:
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to relevant departments.
- Assist in implementing compliance measures to address regulatory updates.
- Policy and Procedure Development and Review including participating in the development and revision of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct policy reviews to ensure alignment with internal procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Training, Education, and Audit Support:
- Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees.
- Ensure departments are informed about compliance policies and procedure updates.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during compliance audits.
- Assist in preparing audit materials and responding to audit findings.
