Driscoll Children's Hospital is seeking experienced Advanced Practice RN (CPNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for our new program in CICU..

ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE (APNP-AC)

PEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (CICU).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Master's or Post Master's degree, required.
• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioners Program with practice authority in the State of Texas, required.
• Advanced Specialty Courses as required by DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience, required.
• BLS and PALS required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION

• Active and unencumbered nurse practitioner and registered nurse license in the State of Texas, required.
• Advanced specialty courses and ongoing education requirements as required by DCH.
• DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing.
• Must obtain DCH credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical privileges, required.
• Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Pediatric Certification, required.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA-C)

PEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (CICU)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Master's or Post Master's degree, required.
• Completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA) approved program (prior to January 2001 - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs), required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience, required.
• BLS and PALS, required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:

• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA),
• Physician Assistant, Certified (PA-C), required.
• Active and unencumbered license in the State of Texas, required.
• Advanced specialty courses and ongoing education requirements as required by DCH.
• DCH Credentialing obtained within time frame required and continuously maintained ongoing.
• Must obtain DCH credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical privileges, required.
