Product Manager

Description:
Product Manager
Department: Product
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Tulsa, OK
Description
Gitwit exists to create breakthrough products and companies. We have the entire team to rapidly go from zero to one to product-market fit. In the last year alone, we've launched an AI-powered app for healthcare documentation, an automated platform for processing insurance claims, and worked with over a dozen other clients and internal ventures.
We're not interested in a run-of-the-mill PM. We're looking for an operator who enjoys the challenge and thrill of early-stage product work, someone who thrives in the "fuzzy front end" of a new opportunity and can develop technology from a loose idea to a production product.
Over the years, we've tried different approaches to product leadership, from traditional product management to headless product teams, and variations in between. Through all of that, we've learned what profile of product manager thrives here. We casually refer to it as a "Venture Product Manager" because that's the kind of work you'll be doing.
How is that different, you ask?

- You must be comfortable with uncertainty. Specializing in zero-to-one work means we're often navigating the ambiguity of a new problem space, where the way forward is not obvious, but the need to push forward is critical. Knowing how to do this well is central to the role.
- You must make decisions without all of the information. Product people love their data. But in the early phases, you often don't have the luxury of waiting until all of the data is available before forming your hypothesis and prioritizing the next steps.
- You must be exceptional at planning but highly adaptable. Early-stage work is full of pivots, which means the plans you made on Monday might not be relevant come Wednesday. You don't get flustered by this. You just refactor and shift direction without losing momentum. We're beholden to the idea that "planning is essential, but plans are useless."
- You must orchestrate the creative process. Creativity is not optional, nor is it happenstance. It's an intentional act that requires disciplined collaboration across the team. Knowing who to engage-and how-at every stage of product development is the only way to maximize the momentum and impact of our teams.
- You must know how and when to move fast. Early ideas are inherently vulnerable and risky, which means time is not on their side. Our teams must work as quickly as possible to reach critical proof points en route to achieving market traction. On the flip side, they must also know when to slow down and gather more input before storming forward.
- You must be optimistic and bold. The mantra of traditional product management is to be a responsible steward and mitigator of risk. While that is true here, innovation also requires bold creativity. (We're building transformation, not widgets.) So you must be able to balance the tension between these competing forces.
- You must manage client stakeholders. As an agency, many of the ventures we work on belong to outside founders or enterprise teams, some of whom have little or no experience with innovation work. This is less about traditional "account management" and more about true partnership, where fighting for the right thing and helping them navigate the treacherous terrain of venture work is critical to project success.
What It Will Look Like to Fill This Role:
- This role is about being a leader and a shaper, not a scrum manager. You will be leading the development of modern products and LLM frameworks, and actually shaping the technology and business strategies that take ideas from concept to reality.
- Keep the team anchored to a clear mission by deeply understanding and clearly articulating it so that the business and user goals are at the center of every decision.
- Employ exceptional communication skills that allow you to convey key ideas clearly and concisely, and use storytelling when necessary to bring context to life.
- Deeply collaborate with behavioral and UX researchers to turn insights into product strategy.
- Engage in disciplined project planning, orchestrating cross-discipline collaboration, and facilitating workshops.
- Participate in design sprints to prototype innovative solutions
- Build out product roadmaps and project plans, prioritizing how to deliver solutions rapidly and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with the team to build products, driving the process from early discovery through launch.
- Manage client expectations, serving as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Stay on the cutting edge of AI tools and methodologies, constantly researching and educating the team on what's possible.
- Rapidly prototype solutions and explore new ways to leverage AI, particularly through LLMs and autonomous agents.
- Help us acquire more AI engagements by pushing the boundaries of what's possible and educating our team and clients on AI's potential.
What We're Looking For In a Candidate:
- A voracious learner with an entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for innovation.
- A background in product management, UX research, computer science, data science, or a related field.
- A strong technical communicator and storyteller who can explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Business-minded with a keen understanding of user needs and the ability to translate them into successful product ideas.
- Proven experience in shaping and managing product strategy with the ability to think both technically and strategically.
- Adept at managing complexity, with the ability to map through large datasets and understand their implications at a higher level.
- Someone comfortable working closely with project leadership, engineers, designers, clients, and venture stakeholders to drive results.
- A love for leveraging the latest tools and techniques to explore, prototype, and build innovative solutions.
- Practical, hands-on experience building LLM-powered workflows and autonomous agents, with multiple successful attempts going from idea to execution.
- Perhaps you haven't launched any commercially available AI products yet, but you're eager to push your experience further and take new LLM-powered ideas to Market. You're curious about agentic design and have a strong desire to push the boundaries of AI's potential.
Why You'll Love It Here:
- Be at the forefront of AI innovation, working on cutting-edge products that will reshape industries.
- Collaborate with a world-class team of software engineers, researchers, designers, strategists, and marketers building not just technology, but launching real products that gain adoption.
- Experience a tidal wave of opportunities to reinvent how people work across various industries.
- Contribute to high-velocity product development, shaping the future of AI and driving new business opportunities.
- A competitive salary
- Comprehensive health and dental coverage, with 99% of the employee premium covered
- Life insurance
- 401(k) matching
- Flexible work schedule
- 8 weeks of mandatory PTO
- Dedicated office in a collaborative, creative workspace
- A custom technology package of your choosing (computer, peripherals, etc)
