Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. POSITION SUMMARY:
This a union-based role represented by CNA. Assists surgeons and anesthesiologist and coordinates flow of equipment, supplies and staff during a surgical procedure. Assures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment and nursing treatment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Communication is an essential skill requiring the ability to see, hear, and speak. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree or Equivalent: Required
- Minimum one-year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- BLS: Required
- Current State of California RN license: Required
- PALS: Preferred
- CNOR: Preferred
