Role Description: The Professional Services Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing network security solutions for our clients. This role requires deep technical expertise in network security, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to deliver complex security projects on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security technologies and a proven track record in delivering professional services in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description: The Professional Services Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing network security solutions for our clients. This role requires deep technical expertise in network security, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to deliver complex security projects on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security technologies and a proven track record in delivering professional services in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with clients to assess their network security needs and design tailored solutions.
- Provide expert advice on best practices for securing networks, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access.
- Conduct security assessments, workshops, and training sessions to empower clients with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their networks.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific security challenges and business objectives.
- Project Implementation:
- Scope the necessary services by identifying client needs, defining project requirements, and estimating the resources required.
- Develop comprehensive service proposals that clearly outline the scope, objectives, SoW and benefits of the proposed solutions.
- Effectively pitch services to clients, clearly articulating the value proposition, technical details, and expected outcomes.
- Customize service offerings to meet unique client requirements, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of network security technologies, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure access solutions.
- Develop detailed implementation plans and work closely with clients to ensure successful deployment with minimal disruption to operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during implementation, ensuring that security solutions are fully operational and optimized.
- Network Security Management:
- Customize and fine-tune network security configurations to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Monitor client networks for security threats, ensuring that protective measures are functioning as intended.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for network security solutions, including regular updates and patches.
- Service Scoping & Pitching:
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific security challenges and business objectives.
- Scope the necessary services by identifying client needs, defining project requirements, and estimating the resources required.
- Develop comprehensive service proposals that clearly outline the scope, objectives, SoW and benefits of the proposed solutions.

- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams, including security analysts, engineers, and account managers, to deliver comprehensive services to clients.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients regarding project status, security incidents, and recommended improvements.
- Document all network security configurations, processes, and client interactions for future reference and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance network security services and client security postures.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in network security, including emerging threats and new technologies.
- Provide feedback to product and service teams based on client needs and industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with at least 3 years in a professional services role.
- Proven experience deploying and managing network security solutions, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure access technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
- Consulting services required.
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on network security.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with network security tools and platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
