Summary: As Director of Employee Engagement and Culture, you will be the central force in developing and implementing our strategy to identify, attract, recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the organization.
You will champion the growth and well-being of our workforce, recognizing that our success is intricately tied to the talent, passion, and dedication of our employees. You will help our businesses cultivate a workplace culture that celebrates "best", embraces a shared sense of purpose, and has no time or energy for waste and poor performance.
With a deep understanding of compensation and benefits strategies, you will recommend benefit strategies that align with our objectives to attract and retain top talent.
Principle Duties:
Culture: Champion the company's core values and ensure they are infused and integrated into all aspects of the enterprise
Employee Engagement: Design & implement comprehensive employee engagement programs and initiatives that enhance job satisfaction, productivity, and retention
Performance Management: You will develop, implement, and train all employees on our Performance Management designed to inspire engagement, alignment, and action.
Employee Development: Institutionalize an employee development program, providing employees with a clear understanding of career path options and the tools, experiences, and competencies that need to be developed
Communication and Recognition: Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and connected to the company's goals, performance, and accomplishments
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): As needed, play an active role in efficiently and effectively integrating new employees into Ascent as an outcome of successful M&A.
Policies & Compliance: Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Compensation & Benefits: Lead the design, approval, implementation, and management of competitive compensation and benefits programs that are structured to attract and retain top talent.
Organizational Design: You will constantly evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and affordability of the HR organization and take action to drive continuous improvement. Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
Workforce Planning: As requested by the businesses, analyze workforce trends and collaborate with leadership to plan for current and future staffing needs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
10+ years of experience in Human Resource Management or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
Proven ability to streamline, enhance, and optimize employee benefits programs
Self-aware and driven: a blend of humility, ambition, and emotional intelligence, with a proactive approach to growth and collaboration
Demonstrated success in designing and implementing employee engagement and culture-building initiatives
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence and foster relationships across all organizational levels
Strong project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
Demonstrated ability in developing and administering employee benefit plans including, but not limited to health and wellness, 401K, etc.
Fluent in HRIS systems, etc.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement employee development, policies and procedures, performance management, and other tools to develop and retain talent across the enterprise.
