The Opportunity:

Are you ready to make an impact? As a Production Engineer, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team at the forefront of our thermal business. You'll collaborate with experts from Exploitation, Reservoir, Exploration, Facilities, Pipelines, and Field Operations to help achieve production and financial goals in a fast-paced, high-impact area. Our thermal division is driving innovation with major development, re-development, and strategic workover projects - and we want you to be part of it!

  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities:
  • Partner with our operations teams to execute optimized depletion strategies, driving maximum value from assets
  • Engage in daily surveillance and troubleshooting of SAGD wells to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Pitch and evaluate opportunities to optimize production and cut operational costs
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor downhole integrity programs
  • Evaluate, recommend, plan, and execute creative well workovers to enhance well performance
  • Contribute fresh ideas in the planning of new development phases

What You Bring to the Role:
  • A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
  • P.Eng designation in Alberta (or you're close to it)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in thermal production operations, with a foundational understanding of thermal processes, oil treating, and steam generation
  • Familiarity with some common artificial lift systems such as Gas Lift, ESP's or Rod Pumps
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
