General Description
Responsible for directing and managing the Hidalgo County Urban County Program and collaborating with sixteen (16) municipalities. Oversees program operations, infrastructure development, and manages and directs the activities of the office staff. The position reports to the County Executive Director.
Examples of Work Performed
Oversees the provision of Urban County Program technical assistance to sixteen (16) cities and their staff.
Provides guidance and direction in the area of grantsmanship and grants management.
Provides guidance in the areas of project administration and compliance.
Oversees and provides guidance to project monitoring to ensure compliance.
Oversees the maintenance of project and grant reporting systems.
Confers and reports on program activity and progress to County Commissioner's Court.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree.
Five (5) years of executive level grant management experience (federal, state and local level grants).
Certificates, Licenses and Registration:
Must have a current valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license
Must be able to be insured by the County's insurance carrier
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Employee may be assigned other duties in addition to those listed; duties may change according to the changing needs of the County.
