We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Operations Engineer with expertise in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical systems in a semiconductor facility. Focused on maximizing equipment reliability, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and optimizing plant operations through technical expertise in wastewater treatment systems and mechanical failure analysis.

We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Operations Engineer with expertise in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of mechanical systems in a semiconductor facility. Focused on maximizing equipment reliability, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and optimizing plant operations through technical expertise in wastewater treatment systems and mechanical failure analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze equipment failures, implementing targeted preventive measures to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Develop and optimize comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure long-term equipment performance.
- Monitor key reliability metrics and equipment performance, utilizing data analysis to identify trends and potential failures.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures, ensuring corrective actions prevent recurrence.
- Design and implement reliability testing procedures to improve system resilience.
- Lead predictive maintenance programs, using FMEA and other tools to minimize unplanned outages.
- Provide expert guidance on industrial wastewater systems, ensuring 24/7 safe and uninterrupted factory operations.
- Oversee critical systems including pump stations, nutrient removal processes, and membrane bioreactors, ensuring their optimal performance.
- Serve as first responder for engineering issues during continuous plant operation, including weekends, ensuring rapid issue resolution.
- Collaborate with construction and trade partners on system improvements and urgent repair projects, maintaining a strong field presence.
- Maintain and update system design, troubleshooting, and operational documentation to align with the Plan of Record.
- Coordinate daily tasks and align with engineering and technician teams to ensure seamless operation and process improvements.
- Liaise with key suppliers to ensure technical accuracy and cost-effective solutions are reflected in master specifications.
- Develop technical documentation such as operating procedures, training materials, and troubleshooting guides to support ongoing operations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering leaders, operations, and facilities staff.
- Any other duties that may be assigned to your role.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a mission critical environment.
- Proven experience in industrial wastewater treatment or related engineering fields.
- Strong understanding of water treatment systems such as Pump Stations, Membrane Bioreactors, and Biological Nutrient Removal processes.
- Hands-on experience with system troubleshooting, break-fix solutions, and process improvements in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical diagrams.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, construction partners, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree required, in addition to 3-5 years of experience.
