Job Title: Corporate Banking Portfolio Manager

Job Summary:

The Corporate Banking Portfolio Manager provides a wide range of credit and loan support functions to the Corporate Banking officers and the Division's portfolio. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for all aspects of the loan process, including underwriting, processing, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the commercial loan portfolio, while following Bank Policy and State/Federal regulations.

General Description/Duties:
  • Monitor the ongoing business activities and financial performance of existing client relationships, including loan agreement and financial covenant monitoring.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the Asset Based Lending portfolio, which includes gathering monthly reports, analyzing and inputting data, calculating the borrowing base, monitoring and enforcing the available credit limit and performing annual Accounts Receivable audit.
  • Assists with preparation of the loan approval, including LAF input, debt recap, financial analysis, ordering spreads and PFAs and preparing documents for the Credit Committee folder.
  • Monitors and addresses loan delinquencies, maturities, overdrafts, financial and collateral exceptions.
  • Responsible for monitoring of all USDA, SBA and Participation Loans, including annual USDA Lender Visits.
  • Assists with the preparation and closing of all loans, including preparing loan documents, pulling credit reports, ordering appraisals, environmental reports, title work, and any other documents pertinent to the loan.
  • Maintain the loan pipeline report.
  • Prepare loan grade change memos, problem loan reviews, memos to file.
  • Process various reports, including, but not limited to maintaining the CBG loan production report, lender portfolio report, and others as assigned.
  • Participates in the structuring of credit transactions, including interviewing potential loan customers and analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness and merits of a specific loan request.
  • Ensures compliance with Bank Policy as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Updates knowledge of industry regulations, requirements and trends by attending seminars, member associations and reading trade periodicals.
  • Position will be required to comply with all Federal and State banking laws and related regulations, to include but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, or equivalent work related experience as stated below.
  • Three or more years of loan or credit analysis experience, specifically related to commercial loans.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be proactive in addressing opportunities and issues.
  • Demonstrate leadership, project management, team building, and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and tactfully handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Basic computer skills, i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, and intranet experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of excel preferred.
