Position Summary: This role will be responsible for managing the team that maintains and administers payroll, reporting and human resources related systems. The role offers many opportunities to work with a variety of stakeholders, such as team members, outside vendors and leadership to ensure compliance and provide business solutions.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Manages payroll processing team and systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years leading and developing teams
- 5+ years of experience in Payroll and HRIS, including ADP
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes in a multi-state organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canadian payroll strongly preferred
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
