Principal Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Phoenix,AZ
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and leadership in the identification and development of new Network related products.
Lead proposals to address future business opportunities and program changes and act as a key focal point for driving and implementing product goals and objectives.
Design, implement, and optimize network software and security protocols to meet safety and security requirements of Experion DCS Systems.
Engage with end customers, consultants, vendors, and fellow Honeywell team members as needed to understand product requirements and transform them into comprehensive systems and subsystem solutions that addresses technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
Perform qualification, verification, and validation of various networking hardware and software, along with comprehensive analysis of risks, supportability, and approval for Experion DCS networks.
Provide support in networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, virtualization, and cloud-based solutions.
Provide development engineering escalation support to Global Technical Assistant Teams for any escalation related to DCS communication and networks.
Provide Internal training, product notifications, and whitepapers for TAC and other project development and deployment teams.
Advance HPS Industrial FTE Network protocol (Fault Tolerant Ethernet) to support future Experion network topologies like HIVE.

40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must have aBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Networking, ComputerEngineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field andseven (7) years of product development engineering experience. Must possessfive (5) years of experience in the following: Network Protocols and/or NetworkDrivers and/or Configuring Network Equipment; maintaining distributed systemsolutions; and experience leading an engineering team. Must possessProfessional Network Certification, including CCNP-Security andCCNP-Enterprise. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Telecommuting up to two(2) times per week.Additional Information
