About This Opportunity

As the Team Lead of Impact in the Girl & Youth Impact department, you will lead a team focused on enhancing our research and evaluation efforts. You will develop, implement, and monitor internal research plans, with a key focus on GGC's strategic priority of delivering a Quality Girl Experience. Reporting to the Director of Program & Impact, you will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our programs and volunteer training through detailed data collection and analysis. In this role you will:

Research & Evaluation Strategy:
  • Develop and implement methods to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.
  • Conduct process and outcome evaluations to measure program success, using community-based research methodologies.
  • Maintain and refine the organization's Theory of Change and logic model.
  • Conduct research to enhance program effectiveness and innovation.
  • Use research findings to inform program enhancements and meet strategic targets.

Performance Measurement Framework:
  • Support the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Performance Measurement Framework.
  • Identify new performance metrics, targets, and benchmarks.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of program and organizational performance data.

Data Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure data quality and compliance in collection and analysis processes.
  • Develop and enhance internal data management, measurement, and evaluation policies.
  • Identify and address gaps in GGC's data and reporting infrastructure.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine their data needs and recommend solutions.
  • Design frameworks, templates, and dashboards for tracking impact data.
  • Create action plans based on data analysis and develop data visualizations to support decision-making.
  • Identify and communicate barriers to data analysis capabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously improve data quality and integrity.

Program Reviews:
  • Support regular program reviews to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and analyze data to make improvement recommendations.
  • Design, gather, analyze, and interpret data to prepare stakeholder reports.
  • Communicate data findings through visually engaging presentations and impact reports, collaborating with other departments as required.

Team Leadership:
  • Lead the Impact team, including goal setting and performance management, with support from the Director of Program & Impact.
  • Oversee research and evaluation activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams on research and evaluation projects.
  • Provide guidance to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Apply organizational policies regarding diversity, inclusivity and equity to content, member communication and customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:
  • Post-secondary education in statistics, data analysis or other relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in research, program evaluation, and performance measurement, focusing on practical recommendations for youth development programming. Experience with community-based research is an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Experience with tools like R, Python, or Power BI is required.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Action-oriented and motivated to address barriers and make an impact in a non-profit or education-related charity.
  • Familiarity with Girl Guides of Canada is an asset.


Starting Annual Salary: $75,739

*Salary based location, Greater Toronto Area
