Sikla USA, Inc. operates from our Suwanee, GA office and is a subsidiary of the German- Austrian Sikla Group; a manufacturer of modular support systems for the chemical and biochemical (life sciences) industries.

As a Business Development Manager at Sikla USA, you will expand the sales opportunities within our existing customer base in these markets within the US, and develop new customer contacts in these related sectors. Collaborating with our design & engineering team to aid concepting new support solutions standards in process and utility pipe supports, and pricing of project bids. Working closely with owners and (EPC/EPCM) engineering professionals within the chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical / life sciences to establish new pipe support standards and resulting sales opportunities.

Duties and key responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the ownership and development of our existing customer base, supported by the VP Sales & Engineering and Project Manager.
  • Establish and build high level influencing contacts within the assigned Sikla accounts.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain records of contacts, project bids, sales, and account development action plans.
  • Coordinate activities for our Global Key Accounts having an active presence in the US.
  • Responsibilities include travelling Nationally and Internationally (where required).


Your Profile
  • Professional qualification and / or equivalent work experience in a technical sales or business development environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously.
  • Senior relationship management: Capable and confident while speaking to senior level positions within customer base.
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Some experience in the comprehension of engineering drawings, design standards, calculations and datasheets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.


Compensation and Benefits
  • Permanent.
  • Working days Monday - Friday (40hrs./week).
  • Compensation includes bonus scheme, health insurance, 401(k) plan contribution and share of annual team bonus dependent upon company revenue and profitability results.
  • 20 days Paid Time Off (excluding compulsory days required by company for Xmas New Year shut down).
  • Car allowance.
  • Role is hybrid - based from home office with expectancy to travel away from home for customer calls on a regular basis as required.
  • Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the USA.
