Facilities Project Engineer

The ideal candidate has experience with facilities operations performing a range of operating procedures, alarm response, and event management as well as a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and process system operation.

Responsibilities

• Support operations in troubleshooting parameters that fall outside of normal ranges

• Drive reliable facilities system operation through collaboration with other Operators, Maintenance Technicians, and Facilities Engineers

• Lead planning and execution of complex, critical operations and maintenance evolutions

• Serve as technical resource for training, mentoring, and performance improvement to personnel on shift

• Support construction and maintenance job planning process

• Collects training progress data for monthly and quarterly reports

Requirements

• Must have understanding of mechanical and electrical system operations

• Effective verbal and written communications skills along with strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information

• Able to wear all required PPE associated with required tasks

• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, wear air purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks, Lift at least 10 -20 lbs. on a regular basis, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body, Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in loud environment. Must be able to discern audible alarms

• 5+ years of college/technical school or equivalent work experience

• Required to work with and around hazardous areas and hazardous chemicals and materials
