The Position:
Hale O Meleana is looking for a Healthcare Administrator. Our Administrators directs and coordinates the delivery of care to residents, oversees all aspects of facility operation, responsible for regulatory compliance and develops budget and assures adherence to facility financial performance expectations. Our Administrators are part of the Core Leadership of the organization. Other responsibilities include:
- Leads facility's strategic planning efforts.
- Partners with Medical Director and Medical staff to assure that delivery of medical care to residents meets facility objectives.
- Assures departments operates consistently within applicable rules, regulations, laws and licensure requirements (i.e. OSHA, Life Safety, EEOC, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA)
- Coordinates facility efforts during OHCA and other government surveys (i.e. CMS, OSHA, AG, OIG, etc.) Assist PI committee and management team in implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies
Requirements:
- Current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator's license or meet the licensure requirements of State of Hawaii for Nursing Home Administrator PREFERRED.
- Bachelor's Degree required and 3 years within the past 5 years of administrative work experience in a health related area, or;
- Master's degree in: hospital administration, public health specializing in gerontology OR public health specializing in health administration and approved 3 credit course in administration of SNF or ICF.
- Completion of Administrator-in-training program, or 1 year administrative experience in a health related area
- Possess time management, critical thinking, analytical and creative systems thinking skills.
