Manager, People Operations & Experience

As a result of our global growth, we are looking for a Manager, People Operations & Experience. As our Manager, People Operations & Experience, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of HR services in payroll and benefits administration and HRIS data maintenance. You will lead a team of professionals that manage day-to-day operations and ensure our practices and procedures are compliant with regulations and aligned with the company's policies and philosophies. This position reports into the Head of People, Americas.

Key Challenges
  • Provides guidance to direct reports, People Partners, and business leaders in HR policies and programs for SRS Americas related to payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, HRIS, and reporting; makes or recommends appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction
  • Oversees and serves as escalation point for payroll processing, benefits administration and annual renewals, HRIS data maintenance, record storage (e.g., employee files, HR vendor agreements) for North America region
  • Monitors efficiency, utilization, and effectiveness of operations; provides analytics and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates direct reports to ensure the efficient operation of HR Operations team; makes talent decisions including influencing pay decisions
  • Manage the maintenance and data integrity of HRIS including leading implementations and enhancements of the system; regularly audit to ensure data integrity
  • Manage and maintain positive and effective relationships with vendors
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate filings and testing such as Form 5500s, non-discrimination testing, and plan audits for all applicable health plans
  • Review contracts, Summary Plan Descriptions, and communication materials for accuracy and compliance
  • Works closely with Head of People, Americas in executing new HR programs; develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results through the People Operations team
  • Ensure compliance based on changing legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements related to FLSA, FMLA (and other state leaves such as CFRA), HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA, etc.
  • Provide recommendations on progressive HR practices and industry trends to leadership; recommend forward-thinking best practices across People Operations to facilitate continuous improvement.


Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar field required
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in HR with a minimum of 3 years' experience directly leading a remote team
  • Strong knowledge of and direct experience with employment law and wage and hour regulations in multiple states in the US, including California
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present results and recommendations across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy
  • Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to resolve unforeseen event situations in a calm manner
  • Self-directed problem solver with ability to produce timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and courteously with all levels of employees and management while be highly achievement oriented and solution driven
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and timely deliver high quality results through others
  • Ability to drive and respond positively to change while maintaining flexibility and focus; supports and champions change by helping team navigate in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to recognize trends and develop recommendations based on data analysis
  • Passion, energy, and dedication to sustainability, health, safety, and operating responsibly; empowers and supports team to do the same


Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting a remote, global workforce is ideal
  • Understanding of and knowledge of employment laws and practices in Canada
  • Previous experience in Technology, SaaS, or Electric Vehicle industry
