POSITION SUMMARY:

The Group Vice President is responsible for driving profitable topline and bottom-line performance through experienced P&L management, building and developing a leadership team, while enforcing and maintaining company standards across a designated geography.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leadership:
  • Lead and champion organizational change initiatives
  • Lead, manage. develop and motivate the team to achieve best in class distribution operating metrics while optimizing and delivering a best-in-class customer experience, achieving high levels of customer and employee satisfaction
  • Communicate a clear vision of the strategy and translate it into actionable plans for the team
  • Effectively escalate and communicate high risk items and decisions needed to the COO
  • Ensure coordination and collaboration between sales, operations, commercial enablement and functions

Commercial:
  • Execute and lead go-to-market strategy against AOP and VCP
  • Develop, communicate and implement strategies to expand Alside's share of the market and grow profitability
  • Provide guidance to sales leaders to optimize sales processes, including new business generation, negotiation and closing
  • Collaborate with commercial enablement team to prioritize, scope and develop organizational, processes, technology and data enhancements to improve seller productivity
  • Build relationships with key customers

Operations:
  • Lead and drive operational improvements, enacted through the Branches, based on data and feedback including footprint and network optimization, including building and evaluating business cases for expansion
  • Collaborate with operations team to prioritize, scope and develop systemic and location-specific enhancements to improve operational efficacy
  • Drive a safety culture, strive for zero injuries, recordables and lost time

Financial:
  • Grow and manage P&L for the geography, assess market trends and opportunities
  • Set financial targets, leverage KPIs to review branch performance, remove obstacles and enable growth

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • 10+ years P&L Management experience in retail or distribution
  • 7+ leading and building effective teams
  • 5+ years of proven successful sales and sales management experience
  • Experience with business planning and financial report
  • Proficient with CRM system and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience driving results using Salesforce.com

BENEFITS:

Employees are also eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan that provides matching contributions. Please note, benefits may vary for those working at a Union facility.
  • Employees will receive a minimum of eight hours of vacation time every month and 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
  • The New Years Eve Holiday may be observed in current or subsequent year depending on the day it falls.
  • Individual departments or functions that need to deviate from the above schedule due to operating requirements will do so on an as needed basis.
  • Employees who are subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement will follow the holiday schedule provided in the CBA.
  • Other Compensation may include, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range or wage scale. Position dependent.
  • The stated benefits are for full-time positions working 30+ hours a week. Part-time positions may be eligible for limited benefits.
