The Manager of Risk Management/Quality Assurance will direct the process of establishing a comprehensive and integrated performance improvement
program which meets regulatory standards for both the hospital and the PHP/IOP components. (S)he will strive to emphasize an organizational-wide approach
in regards to continually meeting and /or exceeding licensing and accreditation standards, in order to deliver quality care and cost - effective treatment. (S)he
will direct the process of establishing a comprehensive and integrated performance improvement program which meets regulatory standards for both the
Behavioral Health Center and the PHP/IOP components. The position reports directly to the CEO, TMC Behavioral Health Center with dotted line
responsibilities to the TMC Director of Risk Management/Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

  • Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of high risk areas.
    Experience in developing and adhering to quality measures strongly preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during
    new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. Handle with Care required with new hire orientation.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction. Excellent communication skills,
    both written and oral. Ability to assess the special needs of adult and geriatric psychiatric patients. directing
    performance improvement and risk management activities in a hospital, psychiatric hospital, or mental health
    treatment setting preferred. Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission accreditation standards. Experience
    interpreting State and Federal standards related to hospital operations.
