Job Summary
The Infection Prevention Specialist II (IPS II), under the supervision of the Infection Prevention leadership collaborates with department/unit leadership to identify and mitigate infection risks, perform surveillance and epidemiological investigations, assess educational needs, and communicate clinical performance for the assigned department/units/service line.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees:
Masters in Public Health (MPH), Medical Technology, Microbiology, or related health sciences field is required
Bachelors in Medical technology, Microbiology, or related health sciences field
Certifications:
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required
Work Experience
Three-five (3-5) years of work experience in infection prevention in acute care setting
Management Experience
Two (2) years of work experience in related clinical/leadership preferred
Communication Skills
Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)
Writing/ Correspondence
Writing/ Reports
Proficiencies
