The Program in Linguistics at Princeton University invites applications for an American Sign Language Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in the 2025-26 academic year. In an exceptional case, an appointment may be made at the rank of Senior Lecturer. This position requires in-person teaching, grading student work, holding regular on-campus office hours, participating in the development of the ASL program, and engaging in the on-campus ASL community. Position duty time is subject to enrollments, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need and satisfactory performance. The position is expected to begin September 1, 2025. The ideal candidate will be an experienced ASL instructor who is native or near-native in ASL, has an extensive knowledge of Deaf culture, and has demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching.
