Senior Vice President Business Development

We are seeking a highly dynamic and talented Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development to be responsible for identifying, pursuing and growing new client businesses from the competition, or that cross multiple channels, those currently going to market direct, as well as working with the Client Services group to identify and pursue white space opportunities from existing clients. This position will create the strategy to secure these new revenue streams. This role will have responsibility for initiating interest on behalf of the prospective clients and setting up related meetings. The incumbent will lead a team of select specialists dedicated to the completion of RFP's, associated interview presentations and the growth of new revenue streams. This position will work in close co-operation and co-ordination of the Account/Client Services leaders and teams, and it will be an important component to the success of driving growth. Additionally, this position has responsibility for holding a team accountable, hiring, motivating, leading and developing direct reports and subordinates.

- Develop a strategy to target those prospective clients, including a comprehensive matrix of opportunities for the three opportunity groups outlined above.
- Work with the team to implement the business development plan; provide oversight to RFP completion and presentation content.
- Responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining talent using company-wide processes, tools, and resources.
- Responsible for building a high performing team with complementary skill sets.
- Travel and Driving are essential duties or functions of this job.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 15+ years of experience in sales, consumer packaged goods, and/or shopper marketing agency/ organization or equivalent
- Proven Track record of hiring, onboarding, motivating and developing high performing individuals and teams
- Good interpersonal skills; Ability to direct, lead, coach and develop people
- Strong work ethic
- Extensive understanding of the CPG industry
