Description:
The Business Analyst position follows a hybrid work schedule where the successful applicant works onsite in Rocky Mount, VA for at least 3 days a week.
Role:
The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving process efficiencies, automation, and improving user experiences across the organization. This role involves analyzing existing business processes, identifying areas for optimization, and recommending solutions to streamline workflows and enhance performance. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements, develop automation strategies, and implement solutions that improve productivity and reduce manual tasks. In addition, this role will focus on business analytics, providing insights to support product development and project implementation. The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring that all solutions align with organizational goals. They will also monitor key performance indicators and deliver data-driven recommendations to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze current business processes to identify opportunities for efficiencies and recommend improvements.
Build custom solutions that are intuitive and enhance the user-experience across the organization.
Create detailed process documentation, including workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated workflows that improve accuracy, reduce manual work, and increase the speed of operations
. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making and drive the credit union's business strategy.
Use appropriate measurement, analysis, and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements.
Lead and support the execution of key initiatives and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Proactively recommend and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize operations.
Identify potential risks or challenges in processes and propose solutions to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and operational resilience.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for relevant teams. Serve as a liaison between business units, vendors, and the business intelligence team.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in business analysis, automation, and data analytics.
Knowledge and Skills
Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as accounting, business, computer/data science, finance, marketing, or mathematics
Experience with change management and facilitation
Proficient with Microsoft 365 Applications and Tools, including SharePoint
Ability and willingness to learn new systems, programming languages, and tools as needed
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, integrity, and security
Strong sense of accountability and ownership; must be a highly motivated self-starter.
Master's Degree and/or professional certification in related field is a plus.
A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In depth dialogues, conversations, and explanations with an array of stakeholders of sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day to day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance
