Position Overview

The Regional Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the bank's CRA program for assigned region. This individual will ensure that the bank's CRA goals and initiatives are aligned with the regulatory requirements and the bank is actively involved in supporting the community's economic development, particularly for underserved areas. This position will actively manage responsibilities for the Camden, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements strategies to meet CRA goals, focusing on community development, affordable housing, small business lending, and financial services in low- and moderate-income communities.
  • Works collaboratively with bank partners to generate new business; ensures that CRA-qualifying products, services, and programs are available and actively promoted.
  • Sources, and refers new business that may result in lending, investment, and service opportunities.
  • Actively engages in building and maintaining relationships with local community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and stakeholders to identify and address community needs.
  • Represents the bank at community and industry events, provides education and support to community and not-for-profit organizations, serves on committees or Boards that pertain to community development and CRA objectives.
  • Oversees community outreach and educational activities aimed at providing financial literacy, home ownership education, and access to credit for underserved communities.
  • Provides training to regional sales teams and management on CRA regulations, compliance requirements, and development opportunities. Educates bank partners on the importance of CRA activities and their role in supporting the bank's CRA goals.
  • Prepares and maintains the regional CRA strategic plan, detailing the bank's goals and activities in the region, and providing specific data on the lending, investment, and service activities.
  • Stays current with CRA regulations and ensures that all activities, services, and lending meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates with the bank's compliance and risk teams to provide information for CRA audits and exams conducted by regulatory agencies.


Education & Qualifications
  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, Marketing or a related field of study; specialized financial services marketing and compliance education and training or experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience in related positions normally required.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel across assigned footprint is required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; thorough knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulations; working knowledge of loan policies and procedures, underwriting guidelines, and loan documents; proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and implementing marketing strategy; exceptional time management, communication and organizational skills; proficient composition skills; proficient PC skills; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; visual , auditory and speaking skills; valid driver's license is required.
