Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Surgical Services Job Duration: Full-time Shift: 10-Hour Variable Guaranteed Hours: 0 hours per week Experience: Preferably 2 years or more of inter-operative experience, although any surgical experience will be considered. License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 1-2 years of endoscopy experience- 1-2 years of orthopedic experience- Solid OR experience Job Description: - Work in a unit with 4 OR suites (typically run 3); and 1 endo suite.- Manage an average of 20-21 cases per day.- Handle a variety of common cases, including: - Orthopedics (hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries) - Ortho spine, TLIF, hernias, lap cholecystectomy - OB/GYN (hysteroscopy, hysterectomy) - Urology (cystoscopy, prostate) - ENT (pediatric cases, tubes, tonsils, adenoids) - Endoscopy- Scrubbing is not required for nurses.- Work collaboratively with Charge Nurse, who supports with flow and charges.- OR technicians will be available to assist.- Operate using the Meditech EMR system.- Scheduling: 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 4-10 hour shifts.- Call Requirements: - Weeknights: 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.; 4 days a month. - Weekends: 24-hour call, at least one weekend day a month (Saturday or Sunday). - Holidays: Department is closed on major holidays; on-call as needed.- Call response time is 30 minutes.- Floating to PACU (for tasking) is preferred but not mandatory.- Scrub color/dress code will be provided.Join the team and enjoy a supportive and dynamic work environment, offering opportunities for professional growth and development in surgical nursing services.
