Description:
Performs or leads programming efforts for application software and ensures successful implementation of application enhancements, conversion, and system installations. Implements enhancements and new products in support of credit union goals and initiatives. Maintains secure and stable systems and provide timely and accurate services to the credit union. Develops, codes, tests, and installs systems/releases ensuring installations are problem free with no negative impact on Members/Users and ensuring systems are easily maintainable. Provides technical guidance to IS team members and daily support / troubleshooting for specified systems focusing on improving the systems as necessary. Review, revise, and maintain application and operating systems in a manner that ensures efficient operation, reliability, financial accuracy, and satisfactory data backup and recovery. Provides daily support / troubleshooting for specified systems focusing on improving the systems as necessary and where possible. Reviews, revises, and maintains application and operating systems in a manner that ensures efficient operation, reliability, and satisfactory data backup and recovery. Ensures program specifications and code are complete, accurate, and conform to standards. Coordinates and/or carries out development projects of varying magnitude to meet deadlines and business objectives. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, and Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum of five (5) years of programming and system design experience in the financial industry, utilizing a project methodology and phased approach. Proficiency with and ability to continuously learn mainframe IBM z/OS environment including COBOL, CICS, Assembler, Easytrieve, ISPF, VSAM, and Endeavor. Innovative problem solving skills and analytical skills. Good verbal and written communications skills
