Description:

Will be responsible analyzing engineering problems to implement and improve computer systems; performing complex computer system analysis to support MathWorks' implementation and management of ServiceNow -- a cloud computer platform that manages digital workflows for enterprise operations; supporting and delivering new features; partnering with stakeholders across the organization to gather, validate requirements, and define acceptance criteria; partnering with development team to define solutions and refine stories; designing, documenting, and improving process flows; creating mockups and designs independently and with UX experts; performing configurations to deliver new features; defining analytics, creating centralized reports to measure adoption and impact of various features; working with end users to resolve work stoppage issues and collect feedback; escalating to developers and vendors as needed to resolve customer-reported issues; creating and maintaining production runbooks; and identifying and advocating for operational improvements via automations or process change.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or related occupation) developing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.

OR

Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Systems Analyst (or related occupation) developing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise using Glide Server APIs and client scripts to build JavaScript-based applications in ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating ServiceNow with third party systems using REST API, integration hubs and service graph connectors; and developing ServiceNow Dashboard and Reports.
  • Demonstrated expertise defining, implementing, communicating, and improving IT Service Management processes -- Incident, Change, Problem, Service Portal and Release Management -- using ITIL standards and Workplace Management tool.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing software applications along the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design, architecture design, documentation, implementation, and testing.
