Position Overview: ACME Concrete Paving is seeking an experienced Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Manager to join our team for a project at Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The CQC Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract specifications and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This role is critical in maintaining ACME's reputation for delivering top-tier construction results on complex and high-profile projects.

Position Overview: ACME Concrete Paving is seeking an experienced Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Manager to join our team for a project at Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The CQC Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract specifications and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This role is critical in maintaining ACME's reputation for delivering top-tier construction results on complex and high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Contractor Quality Control Plan (CQCP) in accordance with USACE requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and audits to ensure project quality standards are met.
- Review and approve all submittals, including materials and mix designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality control reports, documentation, and records for the project.
- Communicate with USACE representatives and attend quality control meetings as required.
- Ensure all materials and workmanship meet contract specifications, USACE standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Manage and train quality control staff and subcontractors on quality procedures and compliance expectations.
- Proficiency in using the USACE Resident Management System (RMS) for project documentation and reporting (required).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of quality control experience in heavy civil construction, preferably with experience on USACE projects.
- USACE CQC certification (required) or ability to obtain prior to project start.
- Strong knowledge of USACE construction standards and procedures.
- Experience with concrete paving, airfields, or similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in the USACE Resident Management System (RMS) for managing project quality control records and submittals.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
Salary Range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
