Description:
We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their mobility and quality of life. This position is in a Primary Care Office working closely with our providers. Specifically, treating patients with medical problems or other conditions that limit their ability to move or perform functional activities.

Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment:
- Evaluate patients' physical condition through medical history, diagnostic tests, and observation.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' goals, medical history, and physical assessments.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Design exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance.
- Use techniques like manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation) to address physical impairments.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and proper body mechanics.
- Monitoring Progress:
- Track and document patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Patient Education and Advocacy:
- Teach patients and families how to continue treatment at home, including specific exercises and mobility techniques.
- Provide guidance on how to prevent further injuries or manage chronic conditions.
- Administrative Duties:
- Keep accurate patient records, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- May oversee physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring that care provided is in accordance with treatment plans.
- Specializations:
- Some DPTs specialize in areas like orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, sports rehabilitation, or neurology, depending on their training and patient population.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and obtaining state licensure.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient management skills; knowledge of therapeutic techniques, and ability to design rehabilitation plans.
- Health care administration and documentation skills
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in physical therapy.
