BAE Systems Phoenix is looking for an experienced Warehouse/Shipping Manager to oversee and coordinate daily receiving/warehouse and shipping activities.

As a Warehouse/Shipping Manager you will;
  • Oversee daily receiving, warehouse and shipping activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, productivity, shipping, and customer service
  • Ensure the accuracy of warehousing and shipment transactions
  • Identify areas of improvement and actively work to improve existing work procedures
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse and shipping team, and direct the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Meet regularly with your receiving/warehouse/shipping/export leads to maximize productivity and develop actionable plans for daily schedule and performance in these areas.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach staff while building a high performing team.
  • Oversee and oversee logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, scheduling with various companies and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of products.
  • OSHA compliance
  • Stock adjustments and scrap ticket processing
  • Training for the site


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of warehousing Tasks such as receiving, shipping, inventory, cycle counts, etc)
  • Supervisory experience
  • Team building experience
  • Continuous improvement and change management mindset
  • Experience with the movement and transportation of hazardous material and waste (RCRA)
  • Comprehension of Government Property control and storage (Contract Property Administration)
  • Familiar with Government Packaging (Mil STD-2073) and Government Marking (Mil STD-129)
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards
  • Strong Safety/Health/Environmental focus
  • Knowledge of how to work/communicate collaboratively with all levels of the company staff.
  • Excellent solution-finding skills and leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of how to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree with proven work experience in warehouse and shipping leadership roles
  • Familiarity with Oracle a plus
  • Experience with Haz and non-Haz material and their storage and disposal needs
  • Experienced in inventory serialization, lot control and cycle count procedures
