About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We're doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

*****When you get a moment, please provide me with some availability over the next couple of weeks - ideally at least 3 days of availability (3-4 hours each day) so we can accommodate schedules. I know we discussed either Wed 9/4 or Fri 9/6. Please let me know if you have any other dates of availability you'd like me to aim for.

You will be taking part in an Onsite Panel Interview that will have the following steps:

• Project Presentation round - 30 minutes (See attached for details)
• You will be presenting to the entire panel during this round
• Five (5), 30 minute - 1:1/individual interviews with respective panel interviewers - 2.5 hours
• Facility Tour - 60 mins

Panel:

I will provide you with a detailed list of panel participants and the scheduled time for each respective interview in a separate email once scheduled.

Presentation:

For your presentation, we will reserve 30 minutes for you to present on a technical project of your choice. The first 20-25 minutes will be dedicated to your presentation, and the last 5-10 minutes will be an open Q&A for your audience to ask follow up questions.

• Utilize the first 1-2 minutes to introduce yourself to the panel. Include some things that we wouldn't find on your resume: hobbies, travel, favorite music, etc.
• Your presentation should showcase a technical problem or challenge that you encountered and resolved. Please provide clear details and actions on how you solved the problem, the outcome and any lessons learned.
• The topic of the presentation can be a work project, hobby, or anything that is technical in nature that you are passionate about and is relevant to the position for which you are interviewing for.
• Please provide details (data/graphs/pictures/videos) if possible and when helpful to understanding.
• You can use PowerPoint, Google Slides, or any other slide show platform to create this.
• Please do not include any proprietary data, or any information that would violate an NDA.
• Please email your presentation to me 24-48 hours prior to your interview so we can review and provide any feedback.

What to expect:

• Please review the attached document to better understand and prepare for the "Presentation" round.
• For your individual rounds, be prepared to be prepared to speak to:
• WHY Redwood - what interests you about Redwood. Who we are, what we do, your career goals, etc...
• Your experience in complex industrial and/or manufacturing environments
• Your experience with Mechanical, Design, and related tools & technology
• Expect questions around, and be able to speak to, past experiences and how you handle situations
• Being comfortable with change and ambiguity - Startup mindset vs mature/enterprise
• Can handle scope of process
• Including the job description - HERE - for you to use as a frame of reference

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
