Job Description
Purpose of the Position:
The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing and monitoring the execution of Lincoln Medical Center's Five-Year Strategic Plan to ensure that its services are ready to meet the needs of patients, community, and providers.
The Lincoln CSO will align the hospital's mission with the Health and Hospitals strategic pillars, foster innovation, and drive sustainable clinical business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or in Public Health when conferred for a program in Hospital Administration from an accredited college or university; and,
2. Six years of high-level responsible experience in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or an equivalent field, or as an Assistant to a Hospital Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations of a major part or all of a hospital, including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs; or,
3. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and,
4. Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations, knowledge of business and human resources administration principles, management functions, management processes and functions of hospital departments, and ability to direct and supervise personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the CEO to improve current clinical business operations and revitalize them to achieve Lincoln Medical Centers long-term vision.
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the hospital's strategic plan. Analyze healthcare market trends, community needs, and internal performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop clinical services for growth and lead the delivery of clearly defined business outcomes with tangible ROI that are closely linked to enterprise strategy. Build relationships with the chiefs of services, and medical leaders in order to adapt new workflow models. Cultivate relationships and build professional networks to support collaboration and provide feedback.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and clinical service lines to enhance the hospital's offerings. Monitor the healthcare landscape to identify new opportunities and emerging initiatives
- Manage the Lincoln Medical Center Community Needs Assessment project in order to engage with patients and the community to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into strategic planning. Create an innovation strategy and roadmap to drive growth and investment. Ensure new innovations provide value to our patients and community.
- Transform the vision and goals into actionable plans that meet the community health needs. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives. Regularly report on progress against strategic goals to key leadership and the community.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets that support strategic initiatives. Ensure that resources are allocated effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
- Quarterly and annually review the strategic plan progress.
- Analyzing patient feedback, data, and trends to identify areas for improvement
- Evaluate risk against reward for innovation and organizational objectives
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.
- Communicate the strategic plan with all those involved, executing the business initiatives and monitoring the implementation efforts.
- Find important projects, ventures, potential targets, and other partnership opportunities.
- Prepare presentation decks and provide presentations to key stakeholders as directed.
