It is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five educational buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus which serves approximately 2,800 students (K-12). Included on campus is the Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), High School (9-12), and the Early Education Center, which serves an additional 350 students. Becker's mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community.
Position Overview:
Becker Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as the Director of Community Education and Related Services. This multifaceted role encompasses leadership in community education, early education, district communications, grant writing and related curricular support. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing community engagement, securing funding through grants, and fostering a positive environment for student activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Community Education Director:
- Manage, supervise, and direct all Community Education programs and staff directly or through designated supervisory personnel.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate early education and childcare programs that meet the needs of students and families.
- Oversee facility use, rentals, and scheduling.
- Support the activities department with youth sports and middle school activities.
- Foster partnerships with community organizations to enhance program offerings and outreach.
- Promote community education initiatives through various marketing strategies.
- Utilize assessment results to drive continuous improvement and ensure programs meet the evolving needs of the community.
- Develop and manage the budget for community education programs, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with district policies.
- District Communications:
- Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with district goals.
- Manage social media platforms and other communication channels to engage stakeholders.
- Develop newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials to keep the community informed about school events and initiatives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for Becker Public Schools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and promote positive engagement between the school district and the community.
- Grant Writing:
- Research and identify grant opportunities to support district programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring alignment with district goals and compliance with funding requirements.
- Manage grant reporting, compliance and evaluation processes to track progress and outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with funding organizations and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Requires Pre K-Adult Professional Development and Director of Community Education Licensure.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Community Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
- Strong grant writing skills with a successful track record of securing funding is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse community members.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community organizations.
- Proficient in technology and social media platforms for effective communication.
