Policy Analyst

Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Policy Analyst supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Policy and Strategy Division (AF/A10P), Strategy Branch (AF/A10PS). Work will be performed in the Arlington, VA area (Pentagon).

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support to AF/A10PS with the review and coordination of doctrine taskers originating from the LeMay Center and other organizations
• Support AF/A10PS with management of the publication change process which requires regular review, and as required re-write, of publications, which A10 serves as the office of primary responsibility for
• Assess and monitor studies, audits, and reports in work or completed by DoD and other agencies for AF/A10 equities and impacts to the Air Force nuclear mission
• Assist AF/A10PS with Nuclear Posture Review implementation, Conventional-Nuclear Integration operationalization activities, and war-gaming support as time permits
• Draft and coordinate staff packages for review and approval
• Develop briefings and presentations for senior Air Force leadership
• Coordinate meetings and provide read ahead packages as necessary

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree and three or more years of related experience or Master's Degree and one year of related experience
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office products
• Knowledge of Department of Defense organizations and functions

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of Air Force organization and processes
• Familiarity with USAF Information Management Publishing Tool and Task Management Tool
