Job Description
Under the direction of the Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer, The ODEI Contract manager will work closely with finance staff System-wide, , ODEI, language access coordinators, contracted vendors, and Revenue Cycle to review, approve, and track invoices and payments made to language access vendors. Additionally, the Contract Manager will audit previous vendor invoices and payments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The position will report to the HR Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and be responsible for the following duties:
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems; and four (4) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial systems, management information and controls, three (3) years of which must have been in responsible administrative or managerial capacity; or
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above; and five (5) years of experience, as described in "1" above, three (3) years of which must have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity.

Job Description

Additionally, the Contract Manager will audit previous vendor invoices and payments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The position will report to the HR Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and be responsible for the following duties:
- Review, approve, and track monthly vendor invoices for all DEI and language access services alongside documentation to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Monitor and present reports detailing spend, trends, and growth to ensure up-to-date tracking of spend for individual vendors and services.
- Review accuracy and charges on past vendor invoices for payment throughout NYC Health + Hospitals.
- Collect supporting documentation from vendors and facility staff that correspond with previous invoices.
- Reconcile invoices with payments made from NYC Health + Hospitals and work with vendors to ensure their reporting reflects internal data.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle on improvements and continued monitoring of Medicaid Reimbursement for interpretation services.
- Work with internal stakeholders and contracted vendors to analyze, implement, and evolve cost saving methods utilizing Epic integration for interpretation services and multilingual staff working as interpreters.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to rectify any incorrect billing per individual contracts.
- Assist in the implementation of payment procedures for new vendors and new interpretation contracts.
- Compile, analyze, and report data that can be applied to the development and execution of policies and practices that ensure the system provides efficient and cost-effective language access services.
- All other tasks and projects, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Department Preferences
- Extensive demonstrated experience in finance dealing with accounts over $1M,
- Detailed oriented with strong project management, financial, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in data collection and analysis.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and ability to work in a complex environment.
- Experience in language services is preferred.
