WHAT DOES A SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST DO?
As a Solutions Specialist (Outside Sales Rep) for our storage and automation business unit, you will prospect your assigned sales territory for new racking and conveyor customers and opportunities and serve as a subject matter expert and partner to other sales consultants on the broader Total Industries team. As a consultant, you will conduct customer needs analysis, provide proposals, demos, and provide outstanding customer service. You'll have access to subject matter experts for forklifts, commercial products, docks, doors, automation, and other products within our overall solutions portfolio. You'll partner with other warehouse solutions team members to ensure your customers continue to give high marks for service excellence because of our responsiveness, transparency, follow-through, and accountability. It's a given that you'll always operate with the highest level of integrity and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Description
$45,000 Base Salary + Commission

WHAT ARE THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Source and provide the best warehouse solutions for new and existing customers.
- Strive for professionalism, observing and complying with all Company regulations and policies.
- Represent the Company loyally, faithfully, with honesty and integrity.
- Sell the products and services within established Company prices and policies.
- Maintain accurate and current customer profiles on all accounts.
- Keep customer database current for each account and customer engaged.
- Achieve annual sales volumes and gross profit goals each year.
Requirements
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS NEEDED?
- 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2+ years progressive experience working in a Material Handling, industrial equipment or related B2B warehouse and product sales environment
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, be self-directed, and use good business judgment
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Demonstrated ability to maintain records and stay current with administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to act in a way that is consistent with our values
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet research
- Clear DMV record, drug screen and background check and active CDL
DESIRED
- Bi-lingual Spanish.
- Previous experience in a warehouse storage sales position.
- Certificate or equivalent education in logistics or inventory management.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
- Position operates in a professional office environment with the requirement to visit and walk around a warehouse.
- Spend most days seated at a desk, working at a computer terminal to input data, handle walk-in customers, phone calls, and exchange texts.
- Use computer as a telephone, messenger, and work tool, so expect to wear a headset and use both a keyboard and mouse frequently through the day.
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances.
- Hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions.
- Communicate, verbally and in written form, regularly to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions internally and directly with customers.
- Occasionally lift and/or move material up to 25lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
