Who we are looking for:

Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Technical Program Management Specialist - Electrical and Digital Systems to join our growing team. This role is key enabler to further detailing and implementing Slate's Program Management model by partnering across teams to define business processes and drive program excellence. You will be a primary enabler in crafting a culture of transparency and accountability. The Technical Program Management Specialist will be tasked with defining, documenting, and implementing business processes delivering program metrics including timing, cost, quality, and functional objectives with a lean and continuous improvement method and demeanor. The role will work directly with the Electrical and Digital Systems teams to deliver program excellence aligned with Slate's corporate objectives. The Specialist is expected to take the initiative to manage all aspects of the system and component programs. This position will create detailed timing and result plans, react to requests, develop metrics and scorecards, and communicate efficiently across the company on topics such as timing, process, issues, and other related needs.

What you get to do:
  • Own the development of Program Management playbook and structure with a Lean mentality
  • Single point of ownership for Electrical and Digital Systems (Commercial Electrical Type 1 accessories) as it relates to vehicle program timing, program deliverables, change management, and issues management
  • Coordinate Beta, DV, PV build events including part buy-off
  • Champion Hybrid Agile/Waterfall standard methodologies where needed, identify program risks and lead mitigation and contingency plans
  • Engage with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, Brand & Marketing, and Finance teams to communicate requirements, resolve issues and drive the program
  • Define/refine and ultimately run business processes for efficient execution of the program objectives with a focus on the following areas
  • Align timing, milestone objectives, and required resources.
  • Follow up and resolve roadblocks to ensure program execution.
  • Ensure vehicle and commercial team alignment on program plan
  • Develop clarity on API cost impact to the vehicle program
  • Primary lead for Investigate and Action Bulletins specific to Electrical and Digital Systems and Commercial team needs.
  • Provide program updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders.

What you bring to the team:
  • BS Degree in engineering subject area or equivalent in experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering or program management, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Automotive design release or vehicle team experience is preferred
  • Experience in embedded automotive electrical architectures, CAN communication, diagnostics, cybersecurity, application software, and wiring design, experience with off-board enterprise technology is a plus
  • Previous assembly plant launch experience preferred
  • Experience using the Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power suite
  • Experience with part lifecycle management, Electrical hardware and software is preferred
  • Excellent communication, team building, and relationship building skills
  • Possess the ability to perform engineering and design process assessments and generate findings and recommendations reports
  • Ability to lead teams and meetings considering tradeoffs and optimized solutions with attention to detail
  • A track record of successfully delivering large scale, complex, cross-functional and capital-intensive projects.
  • Technical writing and documentation experience
