We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Logistics Director to join amaZing team in Miami and lead ZIM's Logistics operations in Central America, Caribbean, and West-Coast South America.
The Central America & Caribbean Regional Logistics Director main responsibilities are managing stocks, supplying equipment to demand locations, and evacuating surpluses from overbalanced locations, with the highest efficiency and while considering operational constraints.

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Logistics Director to join amaZing team in Miami and lead ZIM's Logistics operations in Central America, Caribbean, and West-Coast South America.
The Central America & Caribbean Regional Logistics Director main responsibilities are managing stocks, supplying equipment to demand locations, and evacuating surpluses from overbalanced locations, with the highest efficiency and while considering operational constraints.
Logistics
- Manage Logistics operation in the district, including stock management, equipment repositioning, fleet coordination, intermodal, and MNR.
- Manage equipment needs across the region as per HO guideline.
- Plan, execute, and control the supply and evacuation of empty containers with minimum costs, while considering commercial and operational aspects and examining all alternatives.
- Professional management of Country Logistic teams in Central America, Caribbean, and West-Coast of South America.
- Ensure that ZIM's equipment is utilized efficiently, and surpluses are being evacuated from the outports to the regional hubs.
- Streamline processes, drive efficiencies, promote initiatives for improving operations, and reduce logistic and operational costs.
Vendors Management
- Work closely with all Logistics / Operations service provider to ensure that ZIM's policy is executed, and SLAs are met.
- Manage relationship with Logistic service providers in the different countries.
Requirements
- Academic degree.
- 5 years' managerial experience in Logistics / Supply Chain in the shipping industry is a must.
- Profound knowledge of Central America and Caribbean marine and intermodal operations.
- Proven working relationship with vendors.
- High proficiency of MS-Office tools (specifically Excel).
- Good proficiency of Spanish is a distinctive advantage.
- Self-drive, accountability and capability to work under high pressure.
